a four-year standout in track and cross country for coach Loy Triana at Burkburnett (Texas) High School... a three-time UIL Class 4A State qualifier in cross country... claimed District 6-4A individual championship as a senior in 2017 covering the 3,200-meter course in 13:21.60... paced a school record time of 12:29.80 at the UIL Class 4A State meet to finish 33rd in the fall of 2017... was district runner-up as a junior and placed 75th at the Class 4A state meet... also district runner-up as a sophomore finishing 73rd at state... claimed five individual wins during prep career in cross country... claimed District 6-4A titles in the 800-, 1600- and 3200-meter runs as a senior in 2018... a regional qualifier in the same three distances during her high school career... posted top times of 2:22.95 in the 800, 5:30.45 in the 1600 and 12:09.23 in the 3200...
