At Garland High School

a four-year letterwinner in cross country and track for coach Lynn Duyck at Garland (Texas) High School... qualified for the UIL Region II-6A meet in her freshman, junior and senior seasons... paced a then-school record 5K time of 20:55.50 to finish seventh at the District 11-6A meet as a junior in 2014... turned in personal best 5K time of 20:19.60 at the 2015 regional meet as a senior... boasted top track times of 2:23.17 in the 800, 5:39.45 in the 1,600 and 12:37.20 in the 3,200-meter runs... also competed a season on the basketball court at GHS...
