Freshman (2008)

• finished 13th in first collegiate event at East Central Tiger Chases in Ada, Okla. on Sep. 13, 2008 where she completed the 5K course in 21:07.
• set personal 5,000-meter best with a 19:38.8 to finish 82nd at the Missouri Southern Stampede on Sep. 20, 2008.
• improved significantly in each of her three 6,000-meter events as she ran a 24:27.10 at the Univesity of Arkansas Chile Pepper Festival on Oct. 18, 2008, a 24:21 at the Lone Star Conference Championships in Kingsville, Texas on Oct. 25, 2008 then took a complete minute off of her pace with a 23:05.2 at the NCAA Division II South Central Regionals in San Antonio.
• finished 117th at the NCAA Division II Championships on Nov. 22, 2008 in Slippery Rock, Pa. and finished with a time of 24:25.

At Throckmorton High School

• earned Class A All-State honors as a freshman.
• helped Greyhounds to a district championships as a junior in 2006 and as a senior in 2007.
• led Throckmorton High to a Region I-A title in 2006.
• posted a personal best 2-mile time of 11:56 during prep career.
• was a four-year letterwinner in basketball, track and cross country, but also earned a tennis letter as a freshman.

Brittany, a biology major, is the daughter of Jay Barrington of Seymour, Texas and Debbie Whitfield of Throckmorton, Texas... she was born Feb. 26, 1990...
