Find out what's happening with Midwestern State Women's Basketball during this week's Stang Gang Podcast, featuring head coach Brenita Jackson.

Midwestern State earned its first win of the season with a 65-53 victory over Rogers State in the home opener and continued to display its defensive tenacity the following night, but Central Oklahoma escaped D.L. Ligon Coliseum with a 58-53 victory. The Mustangs took 32 more shots than the Bronchos but shot 22.6 percent from the field in the loss on Saturday night. Zarria Carter scored 37 points, grabbed 24 rebounds, blocked three shots and had five steals in the two games combined. Carter was a rebound shy of her fourth straight double-double in the loss to UCO but was named the LSC Defensive Player of the Week. MSU welcomes Oklahoma Baptist to D.L. Ligon Coliseum on Thursday night at 5:30 p.m. and opens conference play at Lubbock Christian on Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m.
