Midwestern State's Lauren Lindgren reacts to winning the 2020 Marie Morgan Award on a special edition of the Stang Gang Podcast. The senior outfielder from Denton owns a perfect 4.00 grade-point average as a special education major. She was a finalist for the two highest academic awards at MSU first as a Clark Scholar in 2018, then as a Hardin Scholar in 2019. Lindgren is a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and the Golden Key International Honor Society. She has also earned President's Honor Roll status in each of her three years at Midwestern. She is currently a nominee for Outstanding Special Education Student and Outstanding Senior Woman for the West College of Education. Lindgren gained Google Cloud Academic All-America honors in 2019 and was named to the Lone Star Conference All-Academic on three occasions. Lindgren is a two-time All-LSC performer finishing her career with a .338 batting average with 19 home runs and 88 RBIs.
