The Stang Gang Podcast for Thursday, April 16 features Midwestern State men's basketball alum Richard Johnson. Johnson was a two-time All-Lone Star Conference competing for the then-Indians during the 1997-98 and 1998-99 seasons. He helped MSU to the 1999 South Central Region semifinals as the Indians hosted the regionals for the first time as an NCAA Division II institution. The transfer from Baylor averaged 17.7 points and 6.4 rebounds per game during his two seasons with the Indians. Johnson currently serves as the varsity assistant basketball coach at Lake Highlands High School and teaches physical education classes.
