Midwestern State has rebounded from its 2-1 loss at home to St. Edward's in the conference opener and surged to the top of the LSC standings. MSU has nine points in LSC play after posting back-to-back 2-0 wins over UT Tyler and Oklahoma Christian. The Mustangs are also back in the top 10, ranked No. 9 in the nation by United Soccer Coaches.

Head coach Michael Meachum has seen his team play to its potential, but not for a full 90 minutes during recent matched, and he knows that a trip to Dallas Baptist will be challenging. MSU is also hosting LSC newcomer UT Dallas on Saturday night.
