Midwestern State has opened the season with a 5-0 record, including two overtime victories during a five-game homestand. The 108-104 overtime victory against St. Mary's was a memorable game as Austin Lewis hit all six of his 3-point shots and converted a four-point play to force overtime. Pierre Sanders recorded the first triple-double at MSU in 22 years. Sanders finished with 14 points, 13 assists and 10 rebounds in the victory. After defeating Sterling, 92-70, the Mustangs are a traveling to Alva, Oklahoma on Saturday to face Northwestern Oklahoma State, which is 2-2 following a 78-62 win over Oklahoma City.
