Midwestern State rolled up 440 yards of total offense as junior quarterback Sean Jastrab completed 30 of 51 passes for 395 yards in a 38-33 loss to No. 15-ranked Western Colorado at the Mountaineer Bowl in Gunnison, Colo., on Saturday night. Jaiden Burnett sparked the Mustangs with a 98-yard touchdown return and was named the LSC Special Teams Player of the Week. MSU showed a lot of positive signs in the second game of the season, but head coach Rich Renner wants to see the team correct the mistakes that kept the Mustangs from beating a formidable opponent on the road. The Mustangs are idle on Saturday before opening conference play on the road at Eastern New Mexico.
