Midwestern State finished 11th in the Missouri Southern Stampede Saturday morning at the Tom Rutledge Cross Country Course. Elizabeth Butzke led the way for the Mustangs with a time of 18:30.40, which is the ninth best 5K time ever recorded by a Midwestern State runner. Ella Pando recorded her first collegiate countable performance with the 10th best 5K time in program history —18:33.19. Alexandra Feller, Cori Morgan and Jadyn Dangerfield were also impressive in Joplin. Next up for the Cross Country team is the Mustang Open at River Creek Golf Course in Wichita Falls on Oct. 8 at 7:45 a.m.
