WICHITA FALLS, Texas – Parker Plaxco represented Midwestern State Men's Soccer as an Academic All-District® honoree from the College Sports Communicators (CSC), announced the organization Tuesday afternoon. Plaxco earns the honor for the first time in their career.
Plaxco continues to collect honors both on and off the field, with the striker earning LSC All-Academic Team honors earlier in the season. The redshirt junior forward earned both 1
st Team All-LSC and 1
st Team D2CCA All-Region Honors this season in a breakout campaign. Plaxco leads the Mustangs with 12 goals, 5 assists, and 29 points. The Stephenville, Texas native has scored five game winning goals, sitting seventh in the nation for scoring winning goals. His 12 goals is 18
th in the nation, while 29 points is the 17
th most in Division II.
In order to be considered for the CoSIDA Academic All-America program, a student-athlete must have played 90% of the team's games or start in 66.6% of the team's games with at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at his/her current institution. Plaxco now advances to CoSIDA Academic All-America vote, with the winners announced in mid-December.
