WICHITA FALLS – No. 12 Midwestern State dominated doubles then survived a furious rally in singles play to take a 5-3 victory over No. 20 Cameron Saturday at the MSU Tennis Center.
The Mustangs improved to 19-6 advancing to the championship site for the second consecutive season, seventh time in program history and for the fifth time under
Scott Linn's direction.
MSU rolled to a doubles sweep for the 18th time this season in convincing fashion.

Ashley Ramirez avenged a loss in the LSC championship match taking an 8-1 win over Zhenia Shviadok and Mathilde Thibaudat at No. 1 to complete MSU's sweep of doubles.
Cameron stormed back in singles to cut the MSU lead to one at 3-2, getting wins on the No. 5 and No. 6 courts. Velasova triumphed over Rowe (6-0, 6-0) at No. 6 while Lazzarotto fell to Petric (6-1, 6-0) at No. 5.
Ramirez then put MSU on the brink of victory with a 6-4, 6-1 straight-set win over Opolz at the No. 4 line, but Cameron continued the fight.
The Aggies closed the gap 4-3 with Thibaudat outlasted Duff (4-6, 7-5, 7-6 (7-4)) at No. 2 before Coffman punched MSU's ticket to Arizona taking the last three games of the third set to beat Shviadok (5-7, 7-5, 7-5) at No. 1.

- Lazzarotto moved into a tie for seventh on the all-time combined wins list with Marsha Meyer (1998-01). She now has 115 career victories including a 72-9 doubles mark.

Maddie Rowe improved to 20-0 in dual matches to tie the second longest winning streak in program history.
- The No. 6-ranked doubles team of

Ashley Ramirez improved to 19-4 at the No. 1 line moving to 5-1 against nationally ranked opponents.
- Coffman's clinching win over Zhania Shviadok was her 15th of the season matching standout Alex Odell-Michels, who was 15-9 in 2009.
