WICHITA FALLS, Texas – Seventh-ranked Midwestern State can clinch the Heartland Conference North Division with a pair of victories this weekend. The Mustangs have to escape Newman and Rogers State with wins on Thursday and Saturday to clinch the pod outright. Kickoff against the Jets is slated for 7:30 p.m. in Wichita, Kan., on Thursday while Saturday's meeting against the Hillcats is tabbed for 2:30 p.m. in Claremore, Okla.

Mustangs Unbeaten Run Snapped on Golden Goal
MSU Texas' unbeaten run of 35-straight matches was snapped on Saturday as WT's Julio Vargas hit a golden goal in the 96
th minute. The streak, which dated back to the start of the 2017 season, ended as the fourth longest in NCAA Division II history matching Southern Connecticut State's streak from Oct. 10, 1995 to Nov. 23, 1996.
Standing Shakedown
Midwestern State can clinch the North Division of the Heartland Conference with a pair of wins. The Mustangs lead the pod with nine points and a 3-0-0 record, followed by Rogers State (1-1-1), Oklahoma Christian (1-2) and Newman (0-2-1).
Lubbock Christian and Eastern New Mexico are tied in the West Division with eight points while St. Mary's and St. Edward's are deadlocked at 12 in the South.

The Maroon and Gold are unbeaten in their last 20 matches at the friendly confines of Stang Park, dating back to 2016. Over that span, MSU Texas owns an 18-0-2 record and has outscored opponents 42-10 at home.
Both of the Mustangs setbacks this season came on the MSU Practice Soccer Field due to unplayable grass pitch conditions.
Road Warriors
The Maroon and Gold make their final weekend road swing, travelling to Wichita and Claremore this weekend and opening in Dallas the following Thursday before the regular season finale. MSU Texas is unbeaten in its last 15 road and neutral site contests, going 14-0-1.

Rory O'Keeffe has been an ace taking penalty kicks for the Mustangs. The Glanmire, Ireland, native has sunk four PKs on the year, the third most in program history while the five PKs taken by the Maroon and Gold are tied for the second most in a single season, trailing only the six made in 2017.
Lampe Leading the Country
Sophomore keeper
Taylor Lampe leads all active NCAA DII players with a 0.57 career goals against average. In two seasons, Lampe ranks No. 6 in program history with 21 wins and can pass Kevin Gentry (1988-91) and Jeremy Turner (2003-07) with his next clean sheet.
