WICHITA FALLS, Texas -- Senior Jordan Stevens dropped in an efficient 26 points and dished out nine assists to lead No. 9-ranked Midwestern State to a 105-82 win over Science & Arts (Okla.) Thursday night at D.L. Ligon Coliseum.
 
It was the seventh consecutive win for the Mustangs, who improved to 10-1 on the season. MSU is off to its best start since winning the first 13 games of the 2011-12 season.
 
Midwestern takes on St. Gregory's (Okla.) Saturday night under the dome. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m.
 
Stevens connected on three 3-pointers on his way to 17 points in the opening half then dished out six of his season-high nine assists after halftime helping the Mustangs to their highest regular season scoring output since beating Paul Quinn (Texas) 105-77 on March 3, 2013.
 
Stevens hit on 8-of-17 shots from the floor with three 3-pointers while going a perfect 7-for-7 from the charity stripe.
 
Senior guard  Brandon Golden kick started a 13-2 run midway through the first half with five consecutive points including his first of three triples on the night before Stevens polished off the run with eight straight points including two 3-balls to give MSU a 31-13 lead with 9:15 to go in the first half.
 
MSU stretched the advantage to 23 points before halftime and led by as many as 30 points in the second half.
 
Senior forward Khapri Alston secured his fifth double-double of the season with 13 points and 10 rebounds while Golden pitched in 13 more off of the bench.
 
Junior forward Trevor Fuller matched a season high with nine points and swatted three shots, while sophomore forward Nick Powell splashed in two 3-pointers on his way to a career-best 10 points.
 
Dedrain Parmer and Greg Smith had 17 points each to lead the way for the NAIA Drovers, who counted the game as an exhibition.
