SAN ANGELO, Texas -- Angelo State held Midwestern State to a season low hitting percentage while sending the Mustangs to a fourth straight loss 25-10, 25-14, 25-16 Saturday afternoon at Junell Center.
MSU committed 25 errors and hit a negative .034 while falling to 6-16 on the season and to 2-9 in Lone Star Conference play.
The Mustangs scored the first point of each set and never lead deeper than 11 points into any stanza as Angelo State hit .229 as a team paced by sophomore outside hitter Mallory Blauser's 11-kill performance.
The Rambelles, who lead the nation in team digs per set, combined for 68 digs on the back row paced by senior defensive specialist Shelby Wilt, who finished with 16. Freshman Brianna Sotelo (11), junior Katie McLeay (11) and sophomore setter Alexa Johnson (10) all pitched in double-digit efforts.

Midwestern State takes on West Texas A&M Tuesday night in Canyon. First serve is set for 7 p.m.
Angelo State improved to 14-5 and 8-4.
