Coach Elder on the Dustdevils: "We know we're going into a buzz saw this weekend. This is everything for Texas A&M International after losing to Mines and losing to us. They can save their season by beating us, beating West Texas and beating other schools. We know what we're up against. It's a hard place to play. It's a hard place to win. It's going to be a tough environment and they will have a good crowd."

The Hilltoppers (0-2) end a two-week break with a pair of matches this weekend. SEU battles Heartland Conference foe Dallas Baptist Friday night on the road before returning home to face Midwestern State on Sunday. St. Edward's opened the campaign suffering losses to Colorado Mines (3-2) and No. 1 Fort Lewis (Colo.) (2-0) -- both in Golden. Junior forward
Anderson McDaniel and junior midfielder
James Martin accounted for the Hilltoppers' goals in the loss to Colorado Mines while junior goalkeeper
John Kaschak permitted five goals in the opening two matches.
All-Time Series: Midwestern State leads the series, 25-3-3
Coach Elder on the Hilltoppers: "St. Ed's is kind of like us. They have a few guys who are back from injury. They have a really good forward last year that transferred from Denver last year then got hurt. He's back and scoring some goals. They are much improved from last year and we've always struggled at their place. We've come away with a 1-0 victory when they've outshot us in the past. Once again, it's a hard place to play. They have a good young team with a good core back. The coaches have done a good job and you look at their losses and they came against good teams."
A LOOK BACK
Midwestern State (3-0) moved ahead 11 spots in the NSCAA Division II Poll after claiming a pair of results over Newman (Kan.) and Colorado State-Pueblo last week. The Mustangs pelted Newman goalkeeper
Robin Allard with 35 shots forcing him to make 15 often difficult saves. Finally, in the 110th and final minute,
Bryan Santiago's corner kick found its mark as junior midfielder
B.A. Catney headed in the game winner allowing the Mustangs to escape Wilkins Field with its first road win of the season.
Midwestern senior midfielder
Aaron Douthit played a big hand in two early tallies in a 3-1 win over Colorado State-Pueblo Sunday afternoon at the MSU Soccer Field.
Douthit redirected a loose ball to Andrew Power to put the Mustangs up 1-0 in the eighth minute before finishing a beautiful cross from
David Freeland in the 15th minute. CSU-Pueblo cut the lead in half with a goal in the 74th minute before Griff Stratford connected for an unassisted clinching goal in the 89th minute.
Coach Doug Elder said: "Pueblo was pretty good. They had some talented players and they played very hard, played organized and had a good attack. (CSU-Pueblo) got more shots on us than any other team to this point. We've tried to make some adjustments in practice this week to counter teams like that in the future to drop in a little more defensively. To be 3-0, we can't complain. Newman was a tough game on the road, but we created a lot of chances. We were happy with that."
