WICHITA FALLS, Texas -- It took a penalty kick by junior
Keegan Hudson in the 71st minute for the fifth-ranked Midwestern State University men's team to claim a 2-1 victory over a scrappy Eastern New Mexico University squad Friday night at the MSU Soccer Field.
MSU (5-0) had several chances in the game, but ENMU keeper Leif Craddock posted 13 saves while facing 27 Indian shots.

Sean Gill collected four saves while facing 12 shots.
ENMU (2-5-1) grabbed the lead first, after stopping many MSU advances. Keith Vargas put MSU in a deficit for the first time this season by gathering a rebound off the shot of Jonathan Holman at the top of the box and blasting past Gill in the 31st minute.

Chad Rakestraw in the box, MSU scored as Rakestraw knocked it to the top of the 18-yard box to junior
Brandon Swartzendruber who buried the ball in the net behind Craddock.
The game remained knotted at 1-all, despite MSU blasting away at Craddock. MSU outshot ENMU 15-5 in the second half.
MSU got the game-winner after Swartzendruber was pulled down in the penalty area at the 70:15 mark. Hudson took the penalty kick, crashing it in the net to the left of Craddock.
The victory sets up the first showdown game of the season as No. 5 MSU hosts No. 21 West Texas A&M Sunday at 1 p.m. at the MSU Soccer Field.
