WICHITA FALLS, Texas – Midwestern State senior
Savannah Carver has been selected to the Daktronics Division II All-South Central Region second team that was announced Wednesday.
The 5-10 guard from Amarillo/Canyon Randall, was second in the Lone Star Conference and 79th nationally in scoring averaging 15.9 points a game. She led the top scoring offense in the LSC with 73.0 points a contest.
Carver was also eighth in the league in 3-point field goal percentage, hitting 32.4 percent from the arc, while ranking fifth in the conference with 1.7 treys a game.
Newman senior guard Satoria Bell leads the Daktronics All-South Central team as the South Central Region Player of the Year.
Joining Bell on the first team are Tarleton State senior guard Shelby Adamson, Cameron senior forward Sabelle Diata, Washburn senior guard Ebonie Williams and Abilene Christian sophomore guard Mack Langford.
Along with Carver on the second team were West Texas A&M senior guard Joni Unruh, Missouri Western senior forward Jessica Koch, Arkansas Tech junior guard Roselis Silva and Pittsburg State (Kan.) freshman forward Lizzy Jeronimus.
Each member of the first team All-South Central Region squad will join first team members from each of the other seven regions on the ballot for the Daktronics Division II Women's Basektball All-America Team.
The team is sponsored by Daktronics, Inc., an acknowledged world leader in scoring, timing and programming display system for virtually every sport at every level of competition.
