WICHITA FALLS, Texas -- Midwestern State slipped out of the NABC Division II Coaches' Poll but are still receiving votes in Tuesday's latest release.
 
The Mustangs split a pair of contests last weekend at Colorado State-Pueblo's Al Kaly Classic claiming a 71-56 win over Oklahoma Christian before falling to the host Thunderwolves 72-69 in the finale.
 
Midwestern (3-1) is one of five programs out of the South Central Region to receive mention in the last poll joining No. 3 Metropolitan State (Colo.) and No. 20 West Texas A&M while Colorado Mines and Tarleton State (Texas) are also receiving votes.
 
The three-time defender South Central Region champion Mustangs hit the road to take on Ouachita Baptist (Ark.) Saturday night at Bill Vining Arena in Arkadelphia. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.
 
MSU opens Lone Star Conference play the following with games at Incarnate Word and Texas A&M-Kingsville before returning home for a showdown with rival West Texas A&M on Dec. 5 at D.L. Ligon Coliseum.
