WICHITA FALLS, Texas -- Midwestern State returned to the NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA Division II Men's Soccer Poll at No. 22 after a week's hiatus as released Tuesday afternoon.
The Mustangs had its 70-week streak as a nationally ranked side snapped after falling to Incarnate Word two weeks ago, but returned to the poll following a 3-0 victory at Adams State (Colo.) on Sunday.
MSU is one of four teams from the South Central Region to receive mention in the poll which also includes No. 3 Regis (Colo.), No. 11 West Texas A&M and No. 20 Incarnate Word.
Those four teams also top the NSCAA South Central Regional Rankings with Colorado Mines, Fort Lewis (Colo.), Colorado Mesa, Metro State (Colo.), Colorado-Colorado Springs and Texas-Permian Basin filling out the Nos. 5-10 positions.
Midwestern State returns to action Friday against Southern Nazarene (Okla.) at 7 p.m. before taking on Northeastern State (Okla.) Sunday at 1 p.m.
The Mustangs have appeared in 71 of the last 72 NSCAA national polls in which they were eligible.
