HALIFAX, NS - The Halafax Rainmen of the National Basketball League of Canada signed former Midwestern State standout
Chris Hagan Saturday afternoon.
Hagan, a 22-year-old from Houston, Texas, played college basketball at Midwestern State where he led the Mustangs to back-to-back NCAA Division II Elite Eight appearances and ranked fourth in all-time MSU 2-year players in scoring with 1,067 points.
After graduating, Hagan went on to play professionally in New Zealand, where he signed with the Manawatu Jets.
Hagan joined the 4-4 Rainmen Sunday afternoon against the Moncton Miracles, but did not play in the contest.
He joins former NBA-standout and Central Oklahoma product Eddie Robinson in Halifax and replaces former Troy standout Richard Delk, who spent time in the Atlanta Hawks camp last season.
In the Rainmen's road game against Oshawa, Robinson scored 18 points, going 6-for-8 from the field, sinking his only three-point attempt and finishing 5-for-5 from the foul line.
