Midwestern State under consideration in first NCAA Division II regional rankings

WICHITA FALLS, Texas -- Midwestern State is receiving consideration in the first South Central Region Rankings released Thursday by the NCAA Division II Men's Tennis advisory committee.

The rankings are the first of three to be released before the NCAA Division II championship field is announced on Monday, April 24.

The top four teams advanced with the two highest ranked teams hosting the lower ranked teams at campus locations on May 1 or 2.

The two winners advance to the NCAA Division II Women's Championships set for May 12-16 at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Florida.

Midwestern State (10-5) is under consideration along with Cameron (8-1), Lubbock Christian (6-6), St. Mary's (6-5), and UT Tyler (14-1).

Midwestern State takes on Dallas Baptist Saturday at the Arlington Tennis Center. First serve is set for noon.
