WICHITA FALLS, Texas -- Midwestern State earned the No. 7 seed in Super Region Four as announced Monday night via selection show by the NCAA Division II Men's Soccer Committee.

The Mustangs take on No. 10-seeded Biola in the opening round at Sigma Beta Chi Field Friday afternoon at 3 p.m. in San Antonio. The winner advances to face second-seeded St. Mary's on Saturday.

Biola (8-3-6) -- Bible Institute of Los Angeles -- won the automatic bid out of the Pacific West Conference.

The winner of the Saturday's second round matchup moves on to the third round and plays either No. 3-seeded Colorado State-Pueblo and No. 6-seeded Cal Poly Pomona. The Thunderwolves and Broncos square off Saturday at 7 p.m. (CST) in Pueblo.

The top side of the Super Region Four bracket features No. 1 seeded California State-Los Angeles hosting No. 8-seeded Northwest Nazarene and No. 9-seeded West Texas A&M. The winner of the pod moves on to a third round matchup against either No. 4-seeded California State-Dominguez Hills or No. 5-seeded Colorado School of Mines.

The highest remaining seed will serve as host to the third and national quarterfinal rounds set for the weekend of November 17-20.

The four quarterfinal winners move on to the NCAA Division II finals set for Dec. 1-3 at Interbay Stadium in Seattle, Washington.

Midwestern State is making its ninth consecutive NCAA postseason appearance and 17th overall. The Mustangs boast 34 total playoff appearances including 17 as an NAIA member.
