Johnny Carroll (1960-64) broke the color barrier at Midwestern when he became the school's first black student-athlete in 1960. Carroll scored 516 points and pulled in 538 rebounds during a solid career which including a top season with averages of 8.2 points and 8.8 rebounds during his sophomore campaign of 1961-62.
