John Hedlund (1980-81, 83-84) played all over the pitch while helping Midwestern State to three NAIA National Tournaments including a runner-up finish in 1983.

The Plano (Texas) Senior High product notched 26 goals and added 12 assists during a career in which he played anywhere from sweeper back to forward.

The two-time NAIA All American was also named the most outstanding offensive player for the 1983 NAIA National Tournament.
