Dwight Moore was a three-year letter winner at running back and linebacker from 1949-51.

Moore served as a running back in 1949 and 1950 before adding linebacker responsibilities as the team’s only two-way player in 1951 when he led the team in scoring and rushing yardage on offense and in tackles and interceptions on defense.

Moore has supported alumni activities by acting as emcee of the Ex-Lettermen’s Breakfast and as chairman of the letterman’s association.

In 2008, he received the first letterman’s award for outstanding service to the university.
