McGregor was a great friend, fan and benefactor for Midwestern State and its athletic program throughout the 1970s and 1980s.
The former World War II bomber pilot worked as a prominent banker in Wichita Falls and served as a chairman on MSU's board of regents from 1975-79.
McGregor also struck a friendship with former athletic director and legendary coach Dr. Gerald Stockton. He contributed as a member of the M-Club often attending practices and both home and away games.
He often used his own airplane to help in the recruiting process as well as carry other fans and boosters to out-of-town games
McGregor passed away in December of 1996.
