WICHITA FALLS, Texas – The Midwestern State men's and women's tennis teams wrapped up their second weekend of the fall season Friday and Saturday with the squads collecting six titles at the MSU Invitational.
 
Senior Lindsay Nochowicz advanced to her second-straight flight 4 championship match, this time coming out on the winning end following a 6-3, 6-2 victory over Texas-Permian Basin's Andrea Villalobos in the finals.
 
Nochowicz was also victorious in doubles, teaming up with fellow senior Lauren Pineda. The veteran duo cruised through pool A in the flight 4 draw before taking down a UTPB team, 8-3, to finish the weekend a perfect 4-0.
 
In flight 1 doubles, senior Maddie Schorlemmer and junior Abby White earned another doubles title for the Mustangs on the weekend, going 3-0 with an 8-7 win over Tyler Junior College's Tereza Klocova and Michelle Walker.
 
On the men's side, freshman Martijn Molenkamp and sophomore Daniel Gallivoda each went 4-0 to win their flights. Molenkamp was the victor in flight 4, rallying to take down St. Edward's Maximo Agoglia in a 1-6, 7-6, 1-0 (10-7) super tiebreaker win. In flight 9, Gallivoda recorded three straight-set victories before earning a 6-3, 1-6, 1-0 (10-6) win over Northwest Missouri State's Aymeric Autones.
 
In men's doubles, the junior duo of Chris Norrie and Keegan Sullivan claimed the flight 3 doubles title with a victory over Autones and Fin Glowick of Northwest Missouri State.
 
Norrie, seniors Kyle Davidson and Zack Santagate and freshman Benjamin Neander were singles finalists in their respective draws. In flight 2, Davidson came up just short of adding another championship for the Mustangs with an 11-9 defeat in the super tiebreaker to Tyler Junior College's Ryan Brough.
 
Midwestern State will next compete in the USTA/ITA South Central Regional, Sept. 25-27, at the Annemarie Tennis Center in San Antonio for a chance to move on to the USTA/ITA National Small College Championships, which take place Oct. 15-18 in Sumter, S.C.
