WICHITA FALLS, Texas -- Midwestern State bumped ahead one spot to No. 15 in the latest American Football Coaches' Association Division II Poll released Monday afternoon.

The Mustangs blew out Texas A&M-Commerce 65-14 in the Lone Star Football Festival opener Thursday night at Cowboys Stadium to even their season record at 1-1.

MSU is one of 18 teams in newly formed Super Region Four which now includes the Lone Star Conference, Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC), Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) and Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) to receive mention in the poll.

Colorado State-Pueblo leads the way at No. 3 followed by No. 4 Grand Valley State (Mich.), No. 15 MSU, No. 17 Ashland (Ohio), No. 18 Colorado Mines, No. 19 Abilene Christian (Texas), No. 20 Saginaw Valley State (Mich.), No. 21 Wayne State (Mich.) and No. 25 West Texas A&M.

Texas A&M-Kingsville, Sioux Falls (S.D.), Hillsdale (Mich.), Michigan Tech, Wayne State (Neb.), Findlay (Ohio), Adams State (Colo.), Missouri S&T and Tarleton State (Texas) are receiving votes.

The Mustangs take on Texas A&M-Kingsville, which suffered a 40-10 defeat to West Texas A&M Saturday at the Lone Star Football Festival, Saturday night on the road. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
