LAWTON, Okla. - Cameron bunched together three of its four hits to plate the go-ahead run in the sixth inning and held on to snap Midwestern State's nine-game winning streak 2-1 here on Tuesday afternoon.

MSU, which dropped to 23-21 on the season and to 13-11 in Lone Star Conference play, battles No. 4 Central Oklahoma in a doubleheader Wednesday in Edmond before closing the regular season with a three-game set against Abilene Christian Friday and Saturday at Mustangs Park.

The Aggies snapped a six-game skid thanks to a stellar relief performance from Carrie Dilks, who threw six innings of shutout, four-hit out of the bullpen after spelling starter Kelsy Hebert in the second inning.

Kelley Schaefer connected on a leadoff homer to center field in the second inning before Dilks, a former Burkburnett High School standout, dazzled the Mustangs the rest of the way.

The effort spoiled MSU starter
Lindsi Glenn's showing as the frosh from Healdton, Okla. permitted just two runs on four hits and carried a one-hitter into the sixth inning.

The Aggies struck first with an unearned run in the first inning as Misty Dooley scored on Tara Martini's RBI groundout to third base.

The game remained tied after Schaefer's third homer of the season knotted the score at 1-1 into the sixth inning.

But Drew Wright reached on a single to center field while Sonia Foutch and Karth delivered back-to-back two-out singles to notch the Aggies first win since beating ACU on April 5.

Kim Jerrick drew a leadoff walk in the seventh inning, advanced to second on
Elena Bennett's groundout to third base before moving to third on
Mallory Mooney's two-out infield single but was stranded 60 feet away from scoring the tying run.

Mallory Mooney paced the Mustangs by extending her current hitting streak to 10 games by going 2-for-4, while
Kim Jerrick and
Courtney Bingham had hitting streaks snapped at 10 and 7 games, respectively.
