Green, Ebie named Daktronics All-South Central Region second-teamers

WICHITA FALLS, Texas - Midwestern State placed two players on the Daktronics All-South Central Region's second team as released by the College Sports Information Directors of American Wednesday afternoon.

Senior guards Jason Ebie and Craig Green have been a part of the Mustangs' continued resurgence this season.

Ebie, a senior guard from Houston and a transfer from TCU, garnered Lone Star Conference South Division Defensive Player of the Year honors earlier this month.

Ebie is fifth in NCAA Division II with 2.6 steals per game and is averaging 10.7 points per game with 5.3 assists and 4.7 rebounds a game this season. He was named MVP of the Lone Star Conference Championships last week in Bartlesville as he helped the Mustangs claim their second-straight conference title.

Green, who joined Ebie on All-LSC South Division first team this season, paced MSU in scoring with 16.5 points per game and scored 20-or-more points in five-straight games down the stretch after pouring in a career-high 33 points in a 72-69 win over Tarleton State on Feb. 3.

He was also named to the LSC Championships all-tournament team.

The third-ranked Mustangs host the 2010 NCAA Division II South Central Regional and face Incarnate Word in the opening round. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m. at D.L. Ligon Coliseum.
