BUFFALO, N.Y. - The Associated Press reports former Midwestern State running back Dominic Rhodes agree to a two-year contract with the Buffalo Bills. The eight-year NFL veteran rushed for 538 yards last season while sharting starting duties with Joseph Addai for the Indianapolis Colts and led the team with six rushing touchdowns. Rhodes also accounted for 302 receiving yards with three more TDs. Rhodes broke into the NFL in 2001 when he was signed by the Colts as an undrafted free agent. He enjoyed his best statistical season as a rookie, setting career bests with 1,104 yards rushing and nine touchdowns. He played a key role in helping Indianapolis win the 2007 Super Bowl before signing with the Oakland Raiders in 2007. Rhodes re-signed with Indianapolis last season. Rhodes rushed for 2,541 yards and 27 touchdowns in two seasons at (1999-2000) at Midwestern State. He left as the school's all-time leading rusher. |
